On Sunday, May 6th from 4-6p.m. at the Sofitel Hotel Philadelphia, fashion designer & entrepreneur Sarah Van Aken will present the SA VA Style Event benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern PA. The exclusive fashion event will be hosted by Van Aken with special guest, Carly Walko, stylist and founder of ThirtySomethingFashion.com.
The event will showcase the SA VA ‘New Classics’ signature pieces during a style-it fashion show offering tips and tricks on styling and dressing for a variety of body types. The clothing will be informally modeled by Philadelphia celebrities including: Dawn Timmeney of NBC10 News, Patricia Washington, VP of Greater Philadelphia Marketing and Tourism Corporation, Rakia Reynolds of SkaiBlue Media and Lifestyle Editor of Philadelphia Magazine, Emily Goulet. Attendees will enjoy a sit down cocktail party with passed hors d’oeuvers and The Sofitel Hotel’s signature cocktails.
The 18 looks shown at the event will feature six pieces essential to every woman’s wardrobe. Each ‘new classic’ will be styled three different ways demonstrating each garment’s versatility. Pieces at the show not yet available in the SA VA retail store will be available for pre-order during the event, giving guests not only a sneak peak but also the opportunity to have the pieces before they hit the store. All guests will automatically be entered to win one of two SA VA signature pieces being raffled during the event.
Following the fashion show, attendees will be invited back to the SA VA retail store from 6-8pm at 1700 Sansom Street for a private shopping party to shop for the looks they have just seen. 50% of all proceeds from the raffle and 20% of all proceeds from the shopping party will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern PA.
